The procedure to perform this is as follows:
Open the CrashPlan application Sophos menu through the icon in the upper right corner of your desktop, then click the gear icon and select preferences. Note: the application may prompt you to sign in, CrashPlan can be logged into with your AD credentials.
and select Open Preferences.
In the Preferences window select Backup Sets and then click the Change in the File Exclusions row.
In the Backup Sets pane enter .*/Caches.* and check the box labeled Use Regular Expressions. Then click the Add button followed by the Save button. Once completed you may exit out of Preferences.
the On Access panel. Select Excluded Items, click the + button, and enter /Library/Caches/CrashPlan. You may then close the preferences window. Note: to perform these steps you may need to unlock the application using the lock icon in the lower left corner.
