Setting the default printer

  1. Open the System Preferences application.
  2. Click on the Print & Fax icon.



  3. Choose your desired default printer from the list in the drop down menu, "Selected Printer in Print Dialogue."


This printer will now be selected automatically the next time a document is printed.
