DYMO Lable Printer Troubleshooting

This wiki will assist you in troubleshooting the DYMO Label Printer. This will walk you through the uninstall and reinstall process for computers running macOS.

For older DYMO printers that are running on Mac's with newer and unsupported OS's please install the software linked below as a workaround to get the printer to print.

Please follow the troubleshooting steps below:
1. Close the DYMO software.
2. Disconnect the printer from the computer.
3. Go to Apple > System Preferences > Printers and Scanners. If there is the DYMO printer in the list of printers, select it and then click on the "-" icon to remove it.
4. Make a back-up of your label files and address books that can be found in Documents.
5. Open finder and go to Applications / Apps. Now drag the DYMO software(s) into the trash.
6. Please check the following folders and delete anything DYMO related by dragging them to the trash. Note, you may not have these folders or files, in which case please proceed to the next step.
 - Macintosh HD / SSD> Library > Frameworks > DYMO
 - Macintosh HD / SSD> Library > Printers > DYMO
 - Macintosh HD / SSD> Library > Printers > PPDs > Contents > Resources. (PPD files)
 - Macintosh HD / SSD> Library > LaunchAgents (com.dymo.dls.webservice.plist)
 - Macintosh HD / SSD> Library > LaunchDaemons (com.dymo.pnpd.plist)
7. Now empty the trash and restart the Mac.
8. Download DYMO Connect from this LINK.
9. Run the installation.
10. After installation, connect the printer to the computer. We recommend NOT using USB hubs or docking stations.
11. Go to System Preferences >> Security and Privacy >> General.
12. At the bottom of the screen you may find information about blocked DYMO extensions. You may have to allow them manually.
13. Restart the computer.
14. Open the DYMO software and try to print using the right print settings.
