Installing Xcode

1. Open Open App Store App Store in your Applications Applications folder in your Applications folder.
2. Make sure you are logged in to your Apple ID, if not sign out of the current account. You can check this by selecting the the Store Store menu menu.

3. Use the search field in the top right of the window to search for Xcode for Xcode.

4. In the Xcode tile, click on on Free Free . The button will change and now click on on Install App Install App .

5. Once prompted, sign in with your Apple ID.

Installing Xcode Command Line Tools

Method 1 (for OS X 10.9 and above)

1. Navigate to /Applicationsto /Utilities /Applications/Utilities
2. Open Open Terminal Terminal .

3. Type in the following command:

Method 2 (for all other OS X versions)

1. Open Xcode Xcode in your Applications Applications folder.
2. Go to Xcode Xcode > > Preferences Preferences in Open Xcode in your Applications folder.
3. Go to Xcode > Preferences in the top toolbar.
4. Click on the the Downloads Downloads tab tab.
5. Install Command Line Tools Install Command Line Tools.
6. Check the box for "Check and install updates automatically Check and install updates automatically "

Installing XQuartz
