Mac Mail Doesn't Accept Password

Determining Which UCSD Account Is Active (Step 1 of 2):

  1. Open Mail.app
  2. Go to to Preferences > Accounts Preferences > Accounts .
  3. Click the top-most most UCSD UCSD email  email account in the left-hand column.

  4. Select the Advanced tab. If " Enable this account Enable this account" is checked then this account is functioning and the settings the settings may may need  need to be adjusted by following one of the below wikis.
  5. Repeat steps steps 3 & 4 3 & 4  for all subsequent UCSD accounts if the one select is not active..

Determining The Account Type (Step 2 of 2):

  1. From the left-hand column Select the UCSD account that you found to be active be active.
  2. Select the the Account Information Account Information tab tab.
  3. Look at the Account Type Account Type  line to find the account type (POP, IMAP, or Exchange).
