Eduroam

What is Eduroam?
Eduroam, which stands for education roaming, is a secure wireless access service that allows users from different educational institutions to use their home institutional login credentials when trying to connect to the internet on other participating eduroam campuses.
To use Eduroam on another Eduroam-enabled institutions, simply use your UCSD Active Directory username and attach @ucsd.edu to the end of it. Your password should be the same.
Guests from other Eduroam-enabled insitutions can log on to Eduroam by selecting Eduroam from the wireless network list and logging in with the same credentials they use to log into the wireless on their home campus.
To connect to eduroam:
- Check with your home institution to find out if your home institution is eduroam-enabled.
- Select the eduroam wireless network.
- When prompted, enter your home institution username including the @institution portion, e.g. gbluefin@gla.ac.uk
- When prompted, enter your home institution password.
Please Note: Protected Library Resources requires further authentication. Users will not be able to access these through Eduroam.
