This wiki details instructions on how to properly uninstall Sophos Anti-Virus from both Mac and Windows machines. For macOS, Sophos has made removal tools available for download.

Uninstalling Sophos Anti-Virus for Mac

Navigate to https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/120838 and follow the instructions to remove Sophos Anti-Virus from your computer. 

Uninstalling Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows

1. Navigate to the Control Panel by going to Start > Control Panel
   
   
   
2. Open Add/Remove Programs
3. Click the Remove button next to Sophos Anti-Virus 
   
   
   
   
4. Click Yes and follow the prompts to remove Sophos.
   
   
   
   
5. Perform the same procedure for Sophos AutoUpdate.
