Checking your Google Drive Storage Consumpstion
Description
UCSD's Google Domain will no longer provide unlimited storage for Gmail and Google Drive starting on March 12, 2024, and will enforce a 100GB limit. You can check your current storage usage by clicking on the link below:
https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/quota
If your Google Drive and Gmail data exceeds 100GB, please be aware of the following impact:
- Your MyDrive files will be made read-only.
- Your email will continue to function normally.
If your Google Drive and Gmail data exceeds 100GB and you do not want your Google saved data affected, you need to take one of the following actions before March 12, 2024
- Reduce or move the data exceeding 100GB.
- Purchase more storage: You can purchase additional storage from Google in 10TB allotments. For more information on purchase storage, go to Blink.
- If you notice your storage is exceeding the limit and do not see where the storage is being used, Google Drive appears to be the trash bin part of the macOS file system that is tied to Google Drive if you have the app installed.
