Method 1: Enter the following command into Terminal:

drutil tray open

Method 2: Hold down the mouse key while the computer is starting up

Method 3: Startup the computer holding down the option key. When presented with a list of disks, hit the eject button on your keyboard.

Method 4: Boot into firmware (PowerPC only)
